Educator

Geoff has an MEd in Urban Education with a credential in English, which he has used to teach a variety of subjects: Literature, English, ELD/LTEL, and Speech. Fortunately, Geoff has been able to apply his background in acting to his pursuits as an educator by primarily teaching Drama and Theater in various formats. He has developed and implemented curricula for a traditional Theater class that introduces the craft, playwriting, production, and Arts Integration units for elementary students that use theatrical play and play production to support them with their developing ELA and literacy skills. Additionally, Geoff has served as a Drama Director and Arts Coordinator at multiple points throughout his teaching tenure. Whatever content he is teaching, Geoff staunchly believes in three cornerstones of his curriculum: community and empathy building, culturally relevant material, and Arts Integration at the forefront.
