About Us – GeoDrone Analytics (GDA)

GeoDrone Analytics (GDA) is a South African geospatial solutions company specialising in high-quality aerial surveying, geological mapping, structural data capture, and drone-based analytics. Our mission is to transform land, mining, and construction projects through accurate data, intelligent analysis, and accessible geospatial technology.

GDA was founded by Melvin Meyer, a qualified geoscientist with a BSc, Honours, and MSc (cum laude) in Applied Geology. Melvin has worked across South Africa and Southern Africa as a hydrographic surveyor, mudlogger, and mine geologist, gaining extensive experience in field operations, geodata interpretation, and scientific problem-solving.

With hands-on skills in geological mapping, geotechnical investigations, volumetric surveying, petrophysics, QGIS, ArcGIS, and Python-based data analysis, GDA bridges the gap between physical field data and digital spatial intelligence.
