Privacy Policy — Geocentric Spiritual Navigator

This policy covers Geocentric Spiritual Navigator, a sky, calendar, and spiritual-study app. It's meant to be a plain explanation of what the app does with your data, not a wall of legal text.

Data stored on your device

Any birth profile you create (name, birth date, time, and place), along with your app settings and preferences, is stored locally on your device only. None of it is sent to us or to any server we run, and we have no account system, so we never see it. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data from your device's app settings, deletes it for good.

Location

By default, the app estimates your location from your device's IP address, using a third-party IP-lookup service, to set your observer position for the sky map, prayer times, and solar calculations. You can also type in or search for a location yourself instead. Separately, the Compass feature can use your device's precise GPS location for calibration, but only if you grant that permission when asked; it's never used without your consent, and it's processed entirely on your device.

Requests to other services

Some features fetch public data from outside providers so they can show you real information:

- An IP-based location lookup, to estimate your location (see above)

- Satellite imagery from public weather satellite feeds (GOES-East, GOES-West, Himawari, and similar)

- Live flight positions from a flight-tracking data provider

- Map and geography data from a content delivery network

These are outgoing requests for public data to display to you; your birth profile and other personal details are never included in them. As with any request over the internet, the provider being contacted can see your device's IP address and the fact that a request was made; that's a normal part of how the internet works, not something this app does deliberately. Each provider handles that information under its own privacy policy, which is outside our control.

No accounts, ads, or tracking

There's no sign-in, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking SDKs built into this app. We don't sell or share your data, because we don't collect any in the first place.

Children's privacy

This app isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Since all profile data stays on-device and nothing is collected by us, this applies to users of any age.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the update will ship with a new app version and the date above will change.
