Earth Science for Educators
Welcome!
My goal as your teacher is to help support you as you prepare to become teachers.
We will use this class as an opportunity to work together to learn more about the systems that control this beautiful planet we live on and practice the teaching skills that you will be using in the future.
I look forward to learning and growing with you throughout this semester.
Advice from previous students!
At the end of the semester I ask my students to provide advice to my future students based on their own personal experience in my class. I have copied this exactly as they were given to me, so please read through and see what your peers recommend for your success!
DO YOUR EPORTFOLIEO ON TIME
You have to learn how to do time management.
Stay on top of your E portfolio because if you leave it till last minute it can pile up like you.
Make sure you manage your time wisely. This class isn't difficult, but it can be overwhelming trying to get things done at the last moment. If you take at least 2 hours a week, you should be able to get everything done! Believe me!
For them to MANAGE THEIR TIME!!
do not slack on eportfolios. they are a nightmare to get done late
Do not get behind on work because the ePortfolio will definitely pile up.
Focus less on making your portfolio perfect and put more time on actually studying the material before lecture day.
Learn how to manage you time better and make sure you get things turned in on time. Also ask questions and get help in order to be able to understand the topic better and be able to learn what you need too.
