GEO SOFTECH ("we," "us," or "our") developed the Music Player app ("App") as a commercial application. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
We respect user privacy and keep data collection minimal. We do not collect personal identification details such as your name, email address, phone number, or physical address unless you choose to provide them voluntarily, for example when reporting a bug.
We do not use analytics tools, advertising SDKs, crash reporting systems, device identifiers, advertising IDs, or location tracking. We also do not track browsing activity or user behavior.
Some information is stored only on your device to make the app function properly. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us.
This may include playlists you create, recently played songs, play counts used for features like top tracks, and personal preferences such as themes, playback settings, equalizer settings, language choices, and interface customization.
If you choose to personalize the app, your display name, profile image, or banner image may also be stored locally.
Backup files that you create manually, including playlists, settings, or images, are saved locally as backup files under your control.
To enhance your music experience, the App may send limited music-related information to certain third-party services. This includes artist names, album titles, or song titles taken from your local music library.
These services may provide artist biographies, album information, artist images, or song lyrics. No personal information, device identifiers, or user data are included in these requests.
The App uses the Google Play Billing system for purchases such as unlocking premium features. All payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play. We do not access, collect, or store any payment or financial information.
For details on how purchase data is handled, you should review Google’s privacy policy.
The App supports Google Cast for streaming audio to compatible devices. During casting, audio is streamed over your local network using a temporary local server running on your device.
No external servers are involved in this process. The casting framework itself is provided by Google Play Services, and their privacy policy applies to those services.
The App includes an optional bug reporting feature. If used, device information such as model, manufacturer, Android version, app version, hardware details, and selected settings may be displayed to you.
This information is not automatically sent anywhere. It is copied to your clipboard only if you choose to report an issue manually, such as posting it on a GitHub issue page.
The App may request certain Android permissions to function properly. These include permissions for accessing audio files so your music library can be played, internet access for optional metadata features, notifications for playback controls, Bluetooth connectivity for playback on wireless devices, and system permissions that allow background playback, sleep timers, lock screen controls, vibration feedback, or restoring widgets after device restart.
Some permissions apply only to specific Android versions and are used strictly for core app functionality.
The App uses trusted services and open-source libraries to provide specific features such as in-app purchases, casting support, feature delivery, in-app review prompts, metadata retrieval, and efficient image loading or network communication.
These services operate under their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing those policies if you want detailed information about how those services handle data.
We take reasonable steps to protect your information. All personal app data remains stored locally on your device using Android’s secure storage systems.
Any external requests to music metadata services use encrypted HTTPS connections. We do not run servers that store user data, and the app works independently without backend storage.
Backup files remain under your control, and release builds include code protection techniques to help safeguard app integrity.
All app data stays on your device until you delete it, clear app storage, or uninstall the App.
We do not retain data on remote servers. Temporary cached files such as downloaded artist images or album information are automatically managed by the Android system.
The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has shared personal information with us, please contact us so we can address the issue.
You have full control over your data. You can access and manage playlists, history, preferences, and personalization settings directly within the App.
You may delete specific data or clear all app data through your device settings. Backup and restore options allow you to export or re-import your information locally.
If you prefer not to use online metadata features, you can disable those options in the App settings.
This Privacy Policy may be updated occasionally. Any updates will be posted within the App along with the revised date. Reviewing the policy periodically is recommended.
