# Delete Your Geo Nabaa Account

You can permanently delete your Geo Nabaa account and its personal data at any time, from inside the app.

## How to delete your account
1. Open the **Geo Nabaa** app and sign in.
2. Go to **Profile** (الملف الشخصي).
3. Open **Settings** (الإعدادات).
4. Tap **Delete account** (حذف الحساب).
5. Enter your password to confirm.
6. Confirm the final warning.
Your account is deleted immediately. This is permanent and cannot be undone.
If you can no longer sign in to your account, email **amxdillw@gmail.com** from a phone number registered with Geo Nabaa and we will delete the account for you within 30 days.

## What is deleted
The following is erased permanently:
- Your login credentials and password
- Your phone number
- Your profile: display name, governorate, and profile picture
- Your security question and its stored answer
- Your reputation points
- Your saved and bookmarked articles
- Your notifications and push notification tokens
## What is kept
Your questions, answers, and published articles remain in the app, but **anonymized** — your name, profile picture, and every link back to your identity are removed. This keeps discussions that other users took part in from disappearing. Once anonymized, this content is no longer personal data and cannot be traced back to you.
## Retention period
Personal data is erased immediately when you delete your account. Residual copies in our service provider's routine backups are purged within **30 days**.
