As part of cooperation between faculties, and preparation of joint master studies ”Gender and Security”, Prof. Emilia Alaverdov from Faculty of Law and International Relationships from Georgia, provided guest lecture on topic ”The Impact of Illegal Migration on Human Trafficking and Organized Crime”, to students of Faculty of Diplomacy and Security. The lecture was organized by Prof. Milica Bošković , and Nemanja Stevanović, MA, and moderated by Ass.Prof. Gordana Mišev and Mina Suknovic, MA.
Main meeting on GenSec Project was held at Tbilisi, georgia, on Tuesday 25/03/2025 . All partners on GenSec project were present on important meeting, at which final curriculum is defined, and deadline for further steps on deliverables, and accreditation defined.
Professors, and Departments at Technical University of Georgia, was introduced to guest GenSec partners, by Prof. Emilia Aleverdov, and Prof. Miranda Gurgenidze. Meetings open new possibilities for cooperation, and everyone expressed good will for joint work.
GenSec Partners visited Davit Aghmashenebeli University of Georgia, and provided lecturers for their professors, and students. Beside that, GenSec team expressed will to cooperate with this University on future projects.
The Faculty of Diplomacy and Security in cooperation with WEBIN, was host for members of European youth organizations, who participated in the three-day training "Working Together for Resilient and Democratic Youth", held by representatives of several European faculties and youth organizations. During three days of training, participants listen to lectures in the field of mental health, addiction, crisis situations, media literacy and inclusive communities, and our colleague Mina Suknović presented the future joint master studies of the Faculty of "Gender and Security" at one of the sessions.
On 26 March 2025, in the frame of International Week, Davit Aghmashenebeli University of Georgia will host professors from the Partner University, Faculty of Diplomacy and Security - University Union Nikola Tesla. Foreign colleagues will conduct several academic activities. Particularly, public two lectures for students and a master class for academic and administrative staff.
1) A public lecture, “Breaking the Algorithm: The Power of Language and Bias in Shaping the News”, will be conducted online by Prof. at Faculty of Diplomacy and Security - University Union Nikola Tesla, Department for Audio Visual Arts, Belgrade, Serbia, Katarina Smakic;
2) A public lecture, “The Intersection of Gender, Security, and Language: Examining Power Dynamics in Multilingual Peacebuilding Efforts”, will be conducted on side by English Language Lecturer at Faculty of Diplomacy and Security - University Union Nikola Tesla, Belgrade, Serbia, Mina Suknovic;
3) Master Class about, “How to write Erasmus + Projects”, will be conducted on side by Prof. Vice Dean of the Faculty of Diplomacy and Security - University Union Nikola Tesla, Belgrade, Serbia, Milica Boskovic;
4) Master Class about “How to manage Erasmus + Projects”, will be conducted on side by Head of Project Training Academy Unit, Western Balkans Institute, Belgrade, Serbia, Marko Stojanović.
