Introduction
Welcome to Genki (hereinafter referred to as the “App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Genki is a creative application that enables users to customize Live Photos by adding custom stickers (which may be created through in-app image capture and segmentation technology) and by customizing Live Photo backgrounds using videos or other Live Photos.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect your personal information when you access or use our App and related services. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data with transparency and care, in compliance with applicable data protection laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and Apple’s App Store Review Guidelines.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using the App. By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App and delete it from your device immediately.
We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Any material changes will be communicated to you through in-app notifications, email (if provided), or via the App Store update notes. To provide, maintain, and improve our Live Photo customization services, we may collect the following categories of information:
User Content: When you use the App’s core features, you may:
Import or capture images for the purpose of creating custom stickers through segmentation technology
Import Live Photos or videos from your device’s photo library to customize Live Photo backgrounds
Create, edit, and save customized Live Photos within the App

Usage Data: We may automatically collect information about how you interact with the App, including:

If we use your IDFA for cross-app tracking purposes (e.g., personalized advertising), we will request your explicit permission via the Apple ATT prompt before any tracking begins. You may refuse or withdraw this permission at any time through your iOS Settings.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
To process the images, Live Photos, and videos you provide, enabling sticker creation through segmentation technology
To enable Live Photo background customization using your imported videos or Live Photos
To generate, save, and export customized Live Photos to your device
To create and manage your personal creative projects within the App
To analyze usage patterns and user preferences to enhance the App’s features, user interface, and overall user experience
To develop new features, effects, and customization options based on aggregated and anonymized user data
To personalize your experience by remembering your favorite stickers, recent customizations, and creative preferences
To respond to your inquiries, feedback, and support requests
To send you important notifications regarding service updates, policy changes, or security alerts
To provide you with promotional information about new features or special offers, only where you have consented to receive such communications
To detect, prevent, and investigate security incidents, fraudulent activities, or unauthorized access
To ensure the integrity and security of our services and user data

To enforce our terms of service and protect our rights, property, or safety, as well as the rights, property, or safety of our users and the public
User Content and Image Processing
You retain full ownership of and all intellectual property rights in the images, Live Photos, videos, and any other content (collectively, “User Content”) that you upload, capture, import, or submit to the App. We do not claim any ownership over your original User Content.
When you use the App’s features:
Your images may be processed using segmentation technology to extract subjects for sticker creation
Your Live Photos and videos may be processed to enable background customization
All processing is performed to deliver the specific service you request
We do not use your personal images, Live Photos, or videos to train our AI technologies, unless you explicitly opt in for that purpose.
Local Processing Mode (Default):
All image, Live Photo, and video processing occurs locally on your device
No User Content is transmitted to or stored on our servers
Generated customizations are saved only to your device’s photo library when you choose to save them
You have full control over all User Content stored on your device
Cloud Processing Mode (if applicable):
If the App utilizes cloud-based processing for certain features, uploaded User Content may be transmitted to our secure servers
Such content is stored temporarily for the duration of the processing required to deliver the requested service
After the customized output has been successfully delivered to your device, your original User Content is automatically deleted from our servers within a reasonable period, not to exceed 30 days
Generated outputs may be retained in your personal project history for your future reference, unless you choose to delete them
You have full control over your User Content and generated customizations:
You may delete individual projects or all creative content from your history at any time
You may revoke the App’s access to your photo library through your device settings
You may request the deletion of your User Content stored on our servers by contacting us (see Section 11)
Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We only share your information in the following limited circumstances:
We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the App and providing our services, including:
Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers
Analytics and performance monitoring platforms
Customer support and communication tools
These service providers are contractually obligated to process your data only on our behalf, in accordance with our instructions, and with appropriate security measures in place.

If the App utilizes third-party AI services for any feature (including but not limited to segmentation, image enhancement, or any other AI-powered functionality), we explicitly disclose this fact and:
Clearly inform you what personal data will be sent to the third-party AI service
Specify which third-party AI model or service will receive the data
Obtain your explicit, opt-in permission before any personal data is shared
Identify in this Privacy Policy what data the App collects and all uses of that data
You may withdraw your consent for third-party AI data sharing at any time through the App settings.
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to:
Comply with a subpoena or similar legal process
Protect and defend our rights or property
Protect the personal safety of our users or the public

Where our processing of your data is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
You may withdraw consent for third-party AI data sharing through in-app settings
You may withdraw consent for analytics tracking through your device settings
You may opt out of receiving promotional communications from us by following the unsubscribe instructions in the communication or by contacting us directly.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information provided in Section 11. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe, and no later than as required by applicable law.
Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us immediately. Upon verification, we will take steps to delete such information from our records.
