How do you get students to study and memorize required vocabulary? We will explore a website called Genially to create multimedia e-learning materials that you can use immediately in Canvas to help students study vocabulary.

In this session we will learn how to create activities with interactive elements such as clickable audio, tooltips (a short label or description appears when you hover the mouse), and pop-up windows.

Explore some of the examples below.  What elements would be useful in your class?

1. Explore several examples with Clickable Audio

Clickable audio helps student hear vocabulary words or a brief description of a topic.

2. Explore several examples with Tooltips (a short label or description appears when you hover the mouse)

Use the Tooltip to have important vocabulary or key concepts appear when your mouse hovers over specific elements.

3. Explore several examples with Pop-up windows

Use Pop-up windows to add lengthier text, images, videos, or tables.
