The Generative Intelligence (GENI [ˈdʒiːni]) Lab at UNIST pursues generative intelligence that is fundamentally sound and practically impactful. We explore both the theoretical foundations and the expanded capabilities of generative models, viewing them as a core engine for modern AI and its future evolution. To this end, our research interests include, but are not limited to, the following topics:
Fundamentals: We develop original generative methodologies based on mathematical theory, investigating core mechanisms of data creation and building efficient modeling approaches.
Vision Applications: We leverage generative models to solve complex challenges in computer vision, focusing on sophisticated data understanding, visual perception, and various inverse problems.
Intelligent Engineering: We aim to apply generative technologies to solve practical challenges in industry, particularly in design and manufacturing, providing robust solutions for engineering workflows.
We are seeking graduate students and undergraduate research interns who are highly self-motivated and have clear research interests.
How to apply: Please submit the application via this form, where you can find detailed instructions for the process.
