On The Way to Pentecost in the Holy Land
Palm Sunday/Mt of Olives with Hana Bendcowsky
28 March 2021
Service of the Bridegroom with Rev. John Paul and Frederic Masson
29 March 2021
Here are the reflection questions from this evening’s presentation:
St. Ignatius of Loyola says that we should boldly ask for the graces we desire:
What is the “replenishing oil” you long for in your “lamp of faith” during this Holy Week?
In the Parable of the Bridegroom and the Wise/Unwise, the “unwise” are “not let in”—but they are not left abandoned. What words of encouragement would the Bridegroom or the “Wise” offer to the unwise regarding their necessary oil?
Peter’s cry of “I’ve lost the keys!” (x3) is a plead of “restore” to us the keys! Where are the keys being restored to us/to the Church in our celebration of Holy Week?
The anointment of Christ with Stephanie Saldaña and Dr. Marcie Lenk
30 March 2021
Here are the reflection questions from this evening's presentation:
When we read these stories, we like to think of ourselves as the audacious women who speak up, even in front of death. But how often do we find ourselves sounding more like the dissenters, the ones who question whether such behavior is justified or appropriate? What do these stories teach us about how we should treat others in the society who dare to speak out and ask questions?
In all of these stories, women express themselves honestly as a matter of faith. What do these stories tell us about our own relationships to God? Do we perform in prayer? Do we speak as we think that we “should” speak? How do these stories invite us into a radical honesty with God, daring to say what is actually in our minds and hearts?
How do these stories invite us to meditate on how hidden and often unnoticed people move history in ways we might stop and notice?

O Deus, Ego Amo Te
O GOD, I love thee, I love thee-
Not out of hope of heaven for me
Nor fearing not to love and be
In the everlasting burning.
Thou, thou, my Jesus, after me
Didst reach thine arms out dying,
For my sake sufferedst nails, and lance,
Mocked and marred countenance,
Sorrows passing number,
Sweat and care and cumber,
Yea and death, and this for me,
And thou couldst see me sinning:
Then I, why should not I love thee,
Jesus, so much in love with me?
Not for heaven’s sake;
not to be out of hell by loving thee;
Not for any gains I see;
But just the way that thou didst me
I do love and I will love thee:
What must I love thee, Lord, for then?
For being my king and God. Amen.
