In the rush of modern life, finding a quiet space to notice where God is active can feel like a rare luxury. This series of standalone, six-hour prayer days offers a structured, gentle environment to pause, breathe, and re-anchor your spiritual life. We will be using a separate theme of the The First Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius of Loyola for these prayer days.
Originally compiled to help people find God in their ordinary, everyday routines, these exercises are practical, deeply restorative, and accessible to everyone. These prayer days are designed to meet you exactly where you are, using your memory, your senses, and your imagination to encounter a quiet, loving presence.
Each day is structured around a core spiritual theme, moving through a gentle rhythm of guided prayer, personal reflection, and low-pressure spiritual conversation. You are welcome to attend just one of these prayer days, though we highly recommend if you can to attend all the prayer days.

Do you feel called to accompany people in their journey with our loving God? If so, this training program may be for you.
In his letters about Spiritual conversations St Ignatius focus on 3 themes.
Slowness
“Be slow to speak” - Begin with quiet listening for meaning, for understanding, and above all, for catching the driving desires underneath the speakers words. Only then we as the listner make a choice to speak or be silent.
Freedom
Ignatius asks conversing people to be free of personal opinion, quick decisions, attachments, outside authorities, and rigidness. We should rather listen with kindness, compassion, humility, sincerity, equality, and adapt to the speaker in her or his manner.
Openness.
Ignatius believes spiritual conversations awaken self-knowledge and love in people, bringing their interior life into the sunshine and enlarging their vision of what could be. They open people up to God’s action. In such openness the listner needs to respect how the speaker express their prayer experience, tell their life story, express need or vulnerability. Group awareness and care in this openness is everyone’s responsibility, because God is equally in all.
During this programme we will learn and explore together the Ignatian practice of active listening and how to accompany someone in a spiritual conversation.

This form of prayer is a meditative practice. With the help of a short Bible study passage read aloud three or four times, this is a chance to allow a word or phrase from the passage to speak to you and to listen for what God may be saying to you in the moment. There is also a time for sharing, however, this is fully optional.
