Bike bus safety

The Geneseo Bike Bus is a community run event and each participating family is responsible for their own safety.  

General Guidelines:

1. All participants are required to wear a helmet to ride with the group. 

2. We recommend that 2nd grade and under have a designated adult chaperone along for the ride (parent/neighbor/friend's parent). Students 3rd-5th are welcome to join without an adult - just get us your contact info!

3. If you are sending your kid without a chaperone, stick a piece of paper in their backpack with contact information in case they get hurt or have bike problems (like a flat tire).

We're more than happy to give your bicycles a quick once-over and offer any advice on bicycle safety and we are NOT professionals! It's always a good idea to take your bike into a professional shop for maintenance and safety.
