If you want a dedicated, 35ml kit specifically engineered for the curved surfaces and composite materials of a motorcycle helmet to restore gloss and fill minor abrasions, choose Generic Motorcycle Helmet Scratch; if you need a compact, versatile 20ml fluid designed primarily for car paint touch-ups and fading that doubles as a portable solution for general surface shine, choose Beaupretty 20ml. This isn't about which bottle costs less or which one has more reviews on a marketplace; it is strictly about matching the right chemical formulation and container size to the specific job at hand. I have analyzed the design specifications and feature sets of both items to help you decide which tool belongs in your maintenance bag.
• Generic Motorcycle Helmet Scratch: Its biggest strength is its specialized 35ml paste formula tailored to restore helmet aesthetics and functionality for riders. The trade-off is that it is a single-purpose product with no mention of suitability for automotive paint or other hard surfaces.
• Beaupretty 20ml: Its biggest strength is its multi-surface versatility and ultra-portable 20ml size, making it ideal for quick car paint corrections without tools. The trade-off is the smaller volume and the fact that it is not explicitly marketed for the specific curvature and material safety requirements of motorcycle helmets.
• Who is this for?: Buy the Generic option if you are a motorcyclist prioritizing gear longevity and visual clarity. Choose the Beaupretty option if you need a small, go-anywhere polish for vehicle touch-ups or general gloss enhancement.
The Generic Motorcycle Helmet Scratch Removal Paste is built with a singular focus: keeping your riding gear looking fresh and safe. It claims to "quickly fill minor damages," which implies a filler component meant to level out shallow scratches rather than just polishing them away. For a rider, this is a critical distinction because a helmet's shell is often made of polycarbonate or fiberglass, materials that react differently to abrasion than metal car paint.
This product comes in a generous 35ml size, which is nearly double the volume of the competitor. In the context of helmet maintenance, this extra capacity allows for multiple applications on a large visor or full-face shell without running dry mid-job. The design notes indicate a "Multicolor" presentation, likely reflecting the packaging or the varied nature of the compound itself. The brand positions this as an "Aesthetic Upgrade Tool" that restores gloss like new, ensuring "improved and consistent post-ride gloss maintenance." This speaks directly to the rider who cares about the visual integrity of their safety equipment. A scuffed helmet can look neglected, but more importantly, deep micro-abrasions can compromise the structural finish over time.

Who should buy this? You should choose this product if you own a motorcycle and ride regularly. The description highlights that it makes the helmet "ready for everyday use or outdoor activities," suggesting it handles the grime and minor dings of daily commuting or weekend touring. It also mentions being "ideal for motorcyclists seeking efficient upkeep solutions on busy days," implying a user-friendly application process that doesn't require hours of buffing. However, if you are looking for a general-purpose polish to use on your bicycle, your boat, or your car, this might be too niche. It is a specialist tool for a specialist problem.
The Beaupretty 20ml Fluid Polishing Wax takes a different approach, positioning itself as a broad-spectrum solution for automotive paint care. The title explicitly identifies it as a "Car Paint Scratch Repair" product, and the features list reinforces this with terms like "Car faded paint restorer" and "Car repair wax polish." The key selling point here is accessibility and ease of use. The manufacturer states that "using this item, you don't need a tool or polisher just to touch up basic auto polishes after cleaning." This indicates a fluid or liquid wax formulation that is designed for manual application, likely by hand or with a simple cloth, rather than a mechanical buffer.
It fits easily into a glove box, a tool roll, or even a pocket. The 20ml size is sufficient for spot treatments on cars, motorcycles, or other painted surfaces, but it may run out quickly if you attempt to cover a large area. The product promises "instant brightening" and protection, acting as a barrier against the elements while correcting minor blemishes. It is important to note the limitation mentioned in the specs: if you can feel a scratch with your fingernail, it is likely too deep for this compound, and professional work is needed. This honesty about depth limits helps manage expectations.
Who should buy this? This is the choice for car owners, truck drivers, or anyone who needs a quick fix for road rash or oxidation on a vehicle. It is also a viable backup for cyclists or scooter riders who prefer a liquid wax over a thick paste. If your primary concern is having a small, lightweight bottle ready for emergency touch-ups on the side of the road, the Beaupretty option wins on logistics. However, if you are strictly focused on the complex curves of a motorcycle helmet, you must consider whether a car-focused fluid will adhere properly to the helmet's specific plastic composition without damaging the visor or decals. It is a great generalist, but perhaps not the specialist for your headgear.
• Best for specialized helmet care → Generic Motorcycle Helmet Scratch, due to its explicit design for helmet shells and "damage restoration" capabilities.
• Best for volume/capacity → Generic Motorcycle Helmet Scratch, offering 35ml compared to the 20ml of the Beaupretty, allowing for larger jobs.
• Best for automotive paint → Beaupretty 20ml, as it is marketed specifically as a "Car Paint Scratch Repair" and "faded paint restorer."
• Best for tool-free application → Beaupretty 20ml, which explicitly states you do not need a polisher or power tool for basic correction.
• Best for filling minor damage → Generic Motorcycle Helmet Scratch, which emphasizes "filling" damages rather than just polishing.
• Best for quick spot repairs → Beaupretty 20ml, perfect for a few scratches on a bumper or fender without needing a whole tube.
• Best for long-term gear maintenance → Generic Motorcycle Helmet Scratch, designed for "post-ride gloss maintenance" on safety equipment.
After weighing the specifications, I would buy the Generic Motorcycle Helmet Scratch for my own collection. While the Beaupretty option is a clever, travel-friendly liquid for cars, the stakes are higher when dealing with motorcycle safety gear. The Generic product's 35ml capacity and its specific promise to "fill minor damages" suggest a formulation better suited to the rigid, curved surfaces of a helmet. I need a product that treats my helmet not just as a piece of plastic, but as critical safety equipment that deserves a dedicated detailing agent. Furthermore, for towing or any long-distance riding where the bike is exposed to windblown debris, having a larger volume of a specialized paste ensures I can address wear effectively without constantly reapplying a small amount of fluid. It is the safer, more robust choice for the rider who prioritizes their gear's condition.
The Generic Motorcycle Helmet Scratch contains 35ml of paste, while the Beaupretty 20ml fluid offers a smaller 20ml volume in a compact unit count of 1.
No, the Beaupretty instructions state you do not need a tool or polisher for basic touch-ups, and the Generic product is described as having "easy application" features for convenient kit use.
Both products imply limitations for deep damage; the Beaupretty sheet explicitly warns that scratches felt with a fingernail are too heavy for simple polishing and require professional repair.
