If you want a dedicated device for sleep headphones for calls with an integrated microphone and remote, choose Generic 2parks; if you need maximum noise isolation for deep rest without any audio features, choose KAKAPEOPLE Ear Plugs.
• Generic 2parks: Best for side sleepers who need to take calls or listen to white noise without battery anxiety; the trade-off is that it offers only passive noise cancellation and no active sound reduction beyond its fit.
• KAKAPEOPLE Ear Plugs: Best for heavy snorers or loud environments where 45dB of attenuation is critical; the trade-off is that they are purely passive, offering zero capability for music, podcasts, or voice calls.
• Choose Generic 2parks if your primary goal involves being connected via a call while drifting off or needing a simple wired solution that never runs out of power.
• Choose KAKAPEOPLE Ear Plugs if your sole objective is absolute silence and you prioritize high-fidelity noise reduction over connectivity features.
The Generic 2parks headset occupies a very specific niche in the market: the person who wants to use head phones for calls while lying down but refuses to deal with the frustration of wireless charging or bulky over-ear designs. These earbuds are engineered specifically for sleep, prioritizing comfort and practicality over heavy bass or complex sound profiles. The design uses soft silicone materials and an oval shape that sits comfortably in the ear, making them barely noticeable whether you are sleeping, meditating, or working. This ergonomic approach ensures long-term wear without the pain points common with standard earbuds.
What sets this product apart for many users is the built-in connectivity. Equipped with a standard Type-C audio jack, these headphones are widely compatible with smartphones, tablets, laptops, and alarm clocks. The integrated high-sensitivity microphone delivers clear calls, allowing you to stay connected without reaching for your phone. The user-friendly in-line remote allows you to easily adjust volume, skip tracks, and answer or end calls directly from the cable. This functionality is crucial for anyone looking for sleep headphones for calls who needs to manage their schedule or handle urgent messages without disrupting their rest.
However, this product is not for everyone. Since the design focuses on comfort and wired reliability rather than active noise cancellation, it relies on a physical seal to block out sound. If you are in an environment with extremely loud, unpredictable noises like construction work or severe snoring, the 8-millimeter dynamic drivers and 95 dB sensitivity might not be enough to create total silence on their own. Furthermore, because the audio profile is tuned for clarity and balance rather than immersive bass, audiophiles seeking rich, booming soundscapes might find the listening experience too flat. It is an ideal tool for background ambience, podcasts, and conversation, but it does not promise to turn a chaotic room into a library.

The KAKAPEOPLE Ear Plugs are designed for one thing and one thing only: effective noise reduction. With a stated noise cancelling rating of 45dB, these earplugs offer a significant barrier against external disturbances. They are crafted from soft, reusable silicone and come with eight different eartips, ensuring a custom fit for various ear canal sizes. This extensive variety of tips is a major strength, as it increases the likelihood of finding a seal that effectively blocks out snoring, traffic noise, or airplane engine hum. The high-fidelity nature of the plugs suggests they aim to reduce harsh frequencies while preserving a sense of quiet, making them suitable for concerts, work environments, and air travel as well as sleep.
These earplugs are the go-to choice for individuals who are sensitive to sound and require a complete blackout of auditory input to fall asleep. Unlike the wired option, there is no risk of tangled cords getting in the way during restless tossing and turning. The packaging includes a carrying case, which helps keep the silicone tips clean and portable. The material choice of silicone ensures durability and reusability, meaning you can wash and reuse them indefinitely rather than throwing away foam plugs after a few days. For those who simply cannot tolerate the sound of a partner snoring or early morning traffic, the 45dB reduction provides a substantial improvement in sleep quality.
The limitation here is the lack of any electronic features. You cannot listen to music, white noise apps, or take calls with these. They are strictly passive devices. If you rely on a podcast to wind down or need to hear an alarm clock clearly without removing the plugs, these will not serve your needs. Additionally, while the silicone is soft, some users may find the sensation of having something inserted in their ear canal uncomfortable for extended periods compared to the flatter profile of a slim headphone driver. They are a powerful tool for silence, but they do not offer the versatility of a multi-purpose audio device.
• Best for taking calls during sleep → Generic 2parks: Only this model has the integrated microphone and in-line remote required to handle voice communication without waking up fully.
• Best for extreme noise environments (snoring, construction) → KAKAPEOPLE Ear Plugs: The 45dB noise reduction specification offers superior attenuation compared to the passive sealing of standard earbuds.
• Best for battery-free reliability → Generic 2parks: As a wired Type-C solution, these never run out of charge, eliminating the anxiety of a dying battery right before bed.
• Best for customization of fit → KAKAPEOPLE Ear Plugs: The inclusion of eight different eartip sizes provides a more tailored seal for diverse ear shapes than the single-size design of the 2parks.
• Best for listening to white noise/podcasts → Generic 2parks: The 8mm dynamic drivers and balanced frequency response are optimized for listening content, whereas the earplugs block everything out.
• Best for portability and simplicity → KAKAPEOPLE Ear Plugs: No cables, no adapters, and no electronics mean fewer things to lose or break while traveling.
• Best for side sleepers who move often → Generic 2parks: The low-profile, lightweight design minimizes pressure points when lying on your side compared to bulkier plugs.
• Best for long-term cost efficiency → KAKAPEOPLE Ear Plugs: Being fully reusable with multiple tip replacements, they avoid the potential need for replacement units if a wire breaks or a battery fails.
In my opinion, I would choose the Generic 2parks if my primary goal was to use sleep headphones for calls. The ability to integrate seamlessly into a night routine while staying connected is a feature that the KAKAPEOPLE plugs simply cannot match. The wired connection removes all the friction of managing Bluetooth pairings or worrying about charging cycles, and the microphone placement ensures you don't miss important notifications. However, if my only requirement was to block out a snoring spouse or loud neighbors, I would immediately switch to the KAKAPEOPLE Ear Plugs for their superior 45dB noise reduction. For most people looking for a versatile solution that combines comfort with utility, the Generic 2parks offers the better overall package for modern sleep habits.
Yes, the Generic 2parks are designed with ergonomics and lightweight materials specifically to ensure they remain comfortable for hours, even when lying on your side, unlike bulkier headphones.
Absolutely; with a noise cancelling rating of 45dB and a set of eight different eartips, they are engineered to provide a tight seal that significantly reduces snoring and other environmental noise.
No, the KAKAPEOPLE Ear Plugs are purely passive noise-cancelling devices and do not include microphones, speakers, or any electronic components for audio playback or calls.
While the KAKAPEOPLE Ear Plugs have no wires, the Generic 2parks are designed with a reinforced cable to prevent tangling and ensure long-lasting performance, though the KAKAPEOPLE option is inherently wire-free.
