Lyrics:
Verse 1:
How many times have we been over this? What’s wrong with solving prejudice?
Have you been in my shoes? Wishing being someone that isn’t you?
You all say we look the same. Then you call us the ones to blame.
Are you hearing yourself? Imposing your privilege on someone else...
Wear a mask, read the facts, do you know your impact, when you tell us that we overreact
Stay inside, just abide, so that we can unite, and we’ll all end up alright
Because me and you. We’re not far from alike.
Is it too hard for you. To act as an ally.
Your words and actions, speak louder than you think.
So stop the assault. When it’s not our fault.
You tell us we’re too sensitive. Your insults are repetitive.
Is it that difficult, to stop being hypocritical.
We experience this everyday. Discrimination, the constant hate.
Please just listen to us ...and what we have to say...
How does a virus, so silent, suddenly divide us, when we’re all going through the same things.
Hate’s contagious, outrageous, unwanted, outdated.
Our world is slowly slipping...
But/Because me and you. We’re not far from alike.
Is it too hard for you. To act as an ally.
Your words and actions, speak louder than you think
So stop the assault. When it’s not our fault.
