Overview
General Knowledge Hub ("the App") helps kids and school students learn general knowledge through offline, self-graded quizzes. This policy explains what information is involved when you use the App and how it's handled.
Information We Collect
The App does not collect any personal information. It does not require an account, sign-in, name, email address, or any other personal details to use.
The App stores the following locally on your device only:
Onboarding status — whether you've completed the introductory screens.
Quiz progress — which questions you've answered and self-graded, so completed questions don't repeat until you choose to reset them.
App preferences — a timestamp used to periodically check for app updates.
This information never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us or any third party.
How We Use This Information
This information is used exclusively to run the App's quiz and progress-tracking features on your device, and — once advertising is enabled — to display ads through Google AdMob. We do not use your locally stored quiz data for advertising, profiling, or analytics, and we do not sell or share it with third parties.
Where This Information Is Stored
All data is stored locally on your device using standard on-device app storage. We do not operate any server that receives or stores this data. Uninstalling the App permanently deletes it.
Third-Party Services
The App displays ads through Google AdMob, which may collect device identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID), IP address, and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads. This data is handled under Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy) and Ads Terms. Users in the EEA/UK are shown a consent form before any personalized ads load. You can opt out of personalized advertising via your device's Settings → Privacy → Ads. The App also periodically contacts our own server (apps.sparkleinfotech.com) to check whether a newer version is available — this check does not send any personal information, device identifiers, or usage data, only a simple version lookup.
Children's Privacy
General Knowledge Hub is family-friendly educational content suitable for school-age children, and is intended to be used together with a parent, guardian, or teacher where appropriate. The App itself does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children — all progress data stays on-device as described above.
Your Choices
Because the App does not create accounts or collect personal information, there is no personal data to request or delete. You can clear all locally stored app data at any time from within the App via Settings → Reset all data, or by uninstalling the App.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the App evolves. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
