A game to learn evolution!
Created by Tate Yawitz and Eddy Mendoza
Gene Bingo! is an engaging and interactive game that helps students learn about the four mechanisms of evolution: selection, drift, migration and mutation. Students (ages ~10-15) will have a bingo card that represents a genotype. Through different aspects of a fun, exciting, and informative gameplay, students will understand how these mechanisms shape the genetic makeup of populations over time. Even if the students have never even heard of these words before, this game will use age-appropriate language and explanations so that they are able to grasp the concepts with no previous background knowledge.
