How can the Center help me?
The Center for Gender Health and Wellness is designed to provide holistic, gender-sensitive, and inclusive health care to LGBTQIA+ persons to maximize their overall health, psychological wellbeing, and self-fulfillment.
It also advocates for gender sensitivity within The Medical City in collaboration with the Center for Patient Experience, the Medical Services Group, and the Human Capital Management Group to welcome all persons in need of health care as patient partners.
Can I use my HMO or company guarantee for this service?
You may coordinate with your HMO/insurance provider for possible coverage. All procedures under the package availed must be enumerated in the Letter of Authorization (LOA).
Where is the Center located?
Since the Center offers services that are tailored to each person, the consultants and specialists you need may come from different departments in the hospital. That said, you may contact or proceed to the Wellness and Aesthetics Institute at the 6th Floor of The Medical City Ortigas for initial inquiries, referrals, or follow-ups.
SPECIALISTS INCLUDED IN THE PROGRAM
Endocrinology
Investigates endocrine/hormone conditions and provides appropriate treatment and monitoring.
Psychiatry
Assesses and manages mental health and risks for mental health conditions. Evaluates transgender patients who are contemplating gender-affirming therapy.
Obstetrics-Gynecology
and Urology
Provides consultations and therapeutic services for physical and reproductive health concerns.
Surgery
Assesses need for general surgical procedures and gender-affirming procedures, as well as counsels on the risks and benefits of each.
Pediatrics
Provides counseling for children and adolescents, as well as work-ups and therapy for general medical disorders among these age groups.
Wellness & Aesthetics
Provides primary care, preventive health checks, lifestyle medicine consultations, and aesthetic evaluations and treatments for adults.
