PRIVACY POLICY — Gen Converter

YG Software (“we”, “us”) operates the Gen Converter mobile application (“App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use the App.
You do not need to create an account. We do not sell your personal data.
1. General principle
Gen Converter converts photos and videos on your device whenever possible. Files you choose are not uploaded to our servers for conversion.
2. Information processed on your device
• Media files you select or share into the App: Processed locally for conversion. Output is saved to a folder you choose (for example, Downloads or a custom subfolder).
• App preferences: Language, appearance (theme), output folder name, and daily free-conversion and bonus-credit counters are stored locally on your device.
• Usage records: To enforce daily limits, a small local record containing only dates and usage counts may also be kept in your chosen export location so that clearing app data alone does not unintentionally reset limits. These records do not contain the content of your files.
• Permission state: If you decline media access, we may store a simple denial counter locally to show appropriate guidance in the App.
3. Advertising
When you choose to watch an optional rewarded video ad to earn extra conversions, Google AdMob may serve ads. Google may collect device identifiers, ad interaction data, and similar information as described in Google’s Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Google is an independent controller for data processed through ads. We do not use ads to build profiles about you for sale to third parties.
4. Device permissions
The App may request access to photos, videos, or storage (depending on your Android version) so you can pick files to convert. These permissions are used only to read the files you select and save converted output. If you do not grant permission, conversion cannot proceed. On Android, longer jobs may run as a foreground media-processing service so the system does not stop conversion.
5. Internet access
The App uses the internet only to load advertisements and for related ad SDK communication. Your files are not uploaded to us for conversion.
6. Sharing
If you use the system share feature, your converted file is sent only through your device’s share sheet to the app or destination you choose. We do not receive a copy of that shared file.
7. Third-party services
• Google AdMob (advertising)
• Google Play services (distribution and updates on Android)
8. Retention and security
Data stored by the App remains on your device (or in folders you designate) until you delete the App, clear its data, or remove the files. We do not operate servers that store your media or conversion queue.
9. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data, or to object to processing. Under Turkish law (KVKK) and the EU/UK GDPR, you may contact us to exercise these rights. Data controller: YG Software — Yasin Guzel (contact: Section 12).
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be noted in the App.
