GenAI Educational Technology for Science and Mathematics
What are the best tools for teaching Science and Mathematics using EdTech
Honestly, there are too many tools coming out these days with generative AI, and they can be found in a lot of different places, and are good for different use cases in education. Here, I only describe my own tools I find useful in my own teaching.
POE = Platform for Open Exploration (by Quora) + YoTeach!
OpenAI and ChatGPT in not available in Hong Kong SAR China, BUT luckily.... we have POE.com! The advantage of poe.com for education are
You can have MULTIPLE LLMs to choose from - to answer your question; and this is good (it's like having multiple e-learning resources or textbooks!)
You may make your own BOT with pre-defined "characteristics" - e.g., you can check out my BOTS I've made here:
Now, the disadvantage of POE (or in fact, any public facing LLM) is that they are only single user accounts; and hence, it's not an optimal environment for learning and teaching in a teaching environment.
Therefore, if we can use YoTeach! (https://yoteachapp.com/) to share the input and output responses of POE (or other LLMs) from the active learning activities with generative AI!!

Again, since we cannot access the original ChatGPT (or GPT4), Coze not only is accessible to China, but you may add the plugins available to ChatGPT by OpenAI, like the Wolfram Alpha Plugin - please see here for to access the Bot!

Apparently, you can also define workflows and agents, but I haven't tried this yet, but this would be pretty awesome.
