GEOMETRICAL

EDUCATION

NETWORK

--FOR Z--

Hello to everyone

When we started our “Geometrical Education Network for Generation Z” project, we had a very important goal. Giving priority to our students' dreams, goals and wishes. What do young people want, what kind of environments do they want to live and study in? What do they hope their school will be like, where they spend so many parts of their daily lives? How do they want to contribute to our polluted, damaged and therefore depleted Earth? What do they want to change? We are sure that these questions are in the minds of all teachers. Therefore, in our project, we asked our students to share their dream sustainable school design with us. Of course, in order to think about a building design, they had to examine various examples, learn about scientific concepts and technology. Before designing their schools, they had to discover what kind of features the architectural structures had from the Past to the Present, for what reasons bridges were built in many parts of the world, and how the mathematics - geometry found a place in these structures. In addition, award-winning architects around the world needed to see structures that support sustainable life that can be intertwined with nature and get an idea. They had to explore the difficulties and joys of designing various objects, albeit very simple, how art can find a place in buildings.

For all these reasons, we designed all the activities we did in our project within the framework of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and of course Art. This project is a great example of STEM projects. It also puts a strong emphasis on the concepts of green energy and sustainability.

We are happy to share with you our project that we enjoyed at every stage.
