to educate all Black youths on issues that plague the Black diaspora and cause a personal change in thinking and action to build successful, Black citizens of the world.
GEN-ZERO is a non-profit organization providing connection and interaction to Black youths (13-21) to understand and aid the Black diaspora (including African cultures) through close examination and internal reconciliation.
Youth are interviewed and engage in intellectual conversation (by the youth, for the youth) about Black life and the advancement for Black people. GEN-ZERO also provides in-person community outreach and cultural enrichment opportunities.
Converse: Through virtual interviews, members and guests will be provided with topics of the month to converse about. These conversations are in-depth, emotional, and will cause the members to think critically about their everyday lives in relation to their community. These conversations will also bring new perspectives and increase self-awareness and acceptance within the Black youth community. Topics include:
Black Teen Life;
Entertainment;
Social Justice & more!
Community Outreach: GEN-ZERO will be active in their communities to provide assistance and become knowledgeable about their environment. These opportunities include:
Clothing Drive;
Local Food Drive and aiding the Homeless;
Tutoring, etc.
Cultural Enrichment: GEN-ZERO prides itself on the ability to look within for the change that is needed to advance the Black community. Retreats allow for internal reflection as well as a decompressing space for relaxation. Events include:
Breakfast W/ Members (Covid-19 friendly);
Virtual Game Night; etc.
Virtual Newsletter: Monthly newsletters will be sent with information for meeting dates and times, community outreach, and cultural enrichment events. Information on colleges, scholarships will also be displayed.
