Activity #1: Everyone knows recycling is important for our future but not everyone recycles. Instead of throwing away an item made of plastic, cardboard, or paper, create a new household item for a family member.
Activity #2: Groceries are flying off the shelves. Sometimes it is difficult to find ingredients to complete a favorite dish. Families are creating new recipes with items that are available in their pantries. Create a new recipe that you can share with your family.
Activity #3-Out of milk? I limit the time I visit the grocery store. I've tried new recipes and substituted ingredients. Milk seems to run out quickly in my household. Do not make recipe if you are allergic to nuts.

Activity #5-Paper Airplanes
Paper airplanes seem like they are simple to create. However, they require careful planning, which requires measuring and proper folding techniques. During this assignment, you will be assigned to create the “perfect” paper airplane. Search online for ideas and practice. You will need to create several paper airplanes on order to design the perfect one.
Assignment:
1. Look for ideas and instructions online.
2. Create several paper airplanes (at least three), different sizes and shapes.
3. Test them, measure the distance of the flights. Document the distance of each test.
4. Take pictures or create illustrations of each paper airplane design.
Activity #6-Interdependence of Living Things
"All living things depend on their environment to supply them with what they need, including food, water, and shelter. Their environment consists of physical factors—such as soil, air, and temperature—and also of other organisms. " -cK-12
