Gemini Conversation Saver ("the Extension") preserves the confidentiality of your data. We built this extension with a strict "privacy-by-design" approach: all processing happens locally on your machine. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any of your personal information or conversation data.

1. Data Processing & Permissions To function correctly, the Extension requires specific browser permissions. Here is how we use them:

• activeTab Permission: Used only when you click the extension icon. It allows the extension to detect if you are currently on gemini.google.com and to read the page content for the purpose of exporting it.

• Host Permissions (https://gemini.google.com/*): Strictly used to access the DOM (Document Object Model) of the chat interface to identify messages, formatting, and images.

• Storage: The Extension runs entirely in memory and does not persistently store your chat history. Once the export file (PDF, Markdown, or JSON) is generated and downloaded, the data is cleared from the extension's memory.

2. No Data Collection We want to be explicit about what we do NOT do:

• We do NOT track your browsing history.

• We do NOT access your cookies or login credentials.

• We do NOT send data to external servers.

• We do NOT use analytics or tracking scripts.

3. Third-Party Services The Extension operates independently and does not communicate with any third-party APIs or servers.

4. Updates to Policy We may update this policy to reflect changes in the extension's functionality or regulatory requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page.
