About

Dr. Tesfaye Abebe Geleta working as a postdoctoral research fellow at National Taiwan University, Department of Agricultural Chemistry since May 1st 2024. His current research focuses on Environmental remediation: the photocatalytic activity of perovskite (ABX3)/graphitic carbon nitride (C3N4) heterojunction for the degradation of emerging pollutants. His solid background in density functional theory (DFT) and computational simulation makes him fit a new research perspective. From Aug 8/2022 - Apr 31/2024 he has been working as a Senior Application Engineer at MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions, Zhongli District, Taoyuan City 320, Taiwan.  His work was focused on the final finishing; specifically on the surface modification of printed circuit boards (PCB) based on electroless nickel immersion gold (ENIG) and electroless nickel electroless palladium immersion gold (ENEPIG) products at the Global Development of Application Centers (GDAC). He has worked as a research assistant at the R&D Center for the Membrane Technology and Chemical Engineering Department at Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU), Taoyuan 320, Taiwan. He earned his Ph.D. degree in solar energy harvesting (photovoltaics) from the Graduate Institute of Applied Science and Technology at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology in 2021. He also received his M.Sc. degree in Quantum Optics from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia, in 2016, and his B.Sc. degree in Physics from Wollega University, Ethiopia, in 2010.
