Nicha left her home in Bangkok, Thailand, to build a new life with her husband Ruben in South Texas. With no job, no family, and a dream to open Gelato Station, she brought her love of sweets to the Rio Grande Valley- starting with Texas Cottage Law Baked Goods sold at local markets. What began as a pivot( cost of originally opening up a gelato shop) became a sensation: McAllen locals lined up for her fluffy Japanese breads and Asian pastries no one else offered. For two years we honed our craft in the heat of local markets, learning exactly what you craved. Today, our humble grab- and-go shop is your secret spot for:
McAllen's only Japanese egg & fruit sandos,
Thai specialty sweets
and yes- gelato is coming home late 2025.
This isn't just a bakery, This is Nicha's heart served daily- where Asia meets South Texas
