October 2014 - June 2015
At Dunbar, I worked as a driver guard. My role involved ensuring the safe transportation of valuable goods and cash. I was responsible for driving the armored vehicle and maintaining its security at all times. This included adhering to strict protocols and procedures to prevent theft or unauthorized access. Additionally, I was trained in emergency response procedures and was prepared to handle any potential threats or incidents that may arise during transit. Overall, my primary objective was to safeguard the assets entrusted to me and ensure their secure delivery to their designated destinations.
I worked for Dunbar for 9 months, starting as a weekend part-timer and eventually being offered a full-time position. I left Dunbar on good terms when I was offered a better-paying position with Loomis Armored.
The Brink's Company has completed its acquisition of Dunbar Armored, Inc., the fourth largest U.S. cash management company, for approximately $520 million in cash. Dunbar generates annual revenue of approximately $390 million and adjusted EBITDA of approximately $43 million. The acquisition is expected to increase the company's annual non-GAAP earnings by approximately 90 cents per share within two years. Brink's expects to realize approximately $40 million to $45 million in annual cost synergies and plans to invest approximately $50 million in incremental capital expenditures over the next three years. Full integration and synergies are expected to be achieved over three years, with the majority achieved by the end of the second year. The transaction is expected to reduce Brink's non-GAAP effective tax rate by 100 to 200 basis points in 2019 and by 400 to 600 basis points over the next several years. Brink's does not expect to pay U.S. federal cash taxes for at least six years.
