Gedeon Lim is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Hong Kong. His research lies at the intersection of development economics and political economy. His work studies how local elites and ethnic diversity shapes long-run economic and political development with a regional focus on Southeast Asia.
Recent projects study the effects of:
ethnic divisions on the demand for exclusionary politics in Southeast Asia [new draft!]
