Class overview

We must carry out research for a thesis as biotechnology graduates. Innovative ideas, funding, laboratories, and supervisors are needed for completing the thesis. Once students complete their research work, thesis writing and manuscript writing are very important to disseminate the findings to the society. In this context, graduates need to have a scientific writing skill that is different from the usual article writer. As a result, this course is designed for those of you who wish to see them in the field of research.

What will you learn after taking this course?

• Explain how to write a grant, proposal writing, and fundraising with optimism and confidence

• Demonstration of how to do a systemic review on a desire topic

• Create a proposal that includes an introduction, a problem statement, objectives, a project description, an evaluation strategy, and a budget.

• Prepare a draft manuscript for a scientific journal. 

• Understand sound scientific practice.

Evaluation system

Class attendance: 10%; Class performance, presentation, and report writing: 30%; Final Report: 60%.
