Everleigh and her 2 siblings were found abandoned in a ditch in rural Kentucky with horrible mange. The state of Everleigh's skin was deplorable. She had no hair at all and was covered in open wounds, scabs and infection. She was completely terrified and untrusting of all people when she was brought into the program and needed advanced rehabilitation medically and socially.

She spent over 2 months in foster care getting healthy and learning to be a part of a family. Once her health and skin had improved enough she was transferred to a local apl for adoption. Unfortunately because she was still very afraid she was overlooked contiuously.

Which turned out to be the best thing ever because her foster family missed her immensely and rushed in to adopt her!
