Objective

The series of the GEAR conferences are held to discuss the progress of non-traditional and cutting-edge methodologies and applications on the management and administrative issues. As an emerging area, the GEAR pays attention to the Experiments Based Management and Administrative Science with both of methodological and applied aspects. In the first conference GEAR 2012, we invite speakers to discuss the potential and the outlook of this emerging area, which introduces quantitative measurement methodologies on the human behaviors into the business administration and management.

小野 功 先生（東京工業大学）

題目：「進化計算による大規模ブラックボックス最適化」

概要：本講演では，大規模ブラックボックス最適化のための進化計算手法を紹介する．ブラックボックス最適化は，目的関数の表現が陽に与えられない最適化問題であり，困難な問題クラスとして知られる．進化計算は，最も有力なブラックボックス最適化手法の１つである．本講演では，近年，小野研究室で開発されている高次元ブラックボックス関数最適化のための自然進化戦略とその応用例，および，大規模巡回セールスマン問題のための並列遺伝アルゴリズムを紹介する．

吉田 健一 先生（筑波大学）

題目：「情報技術とビジネス」

概要：工学的な研究視点しかなかった発表者にとって、寺野先生達が開拓されたビジネスと工学の接点からの研究展開は刺激的なものでした。人工知能研究の初期からのお付き合いを通して寺野先生にいただいた研究上の刺激が吉田の研究にどう影響したかについて、感謝をこめて振り返らせていただきます。
