Clinic costs vary depending on the instructor's fees. Under calendar if you click on each event there will be detailed information about costs for each clinician.
Please plan to arrive after 4pm or later the night before the clinic at the earliest, so we can plan to be there to help you. Dustin will help you with trailer parking, so just wait in the driveway until he comes to greet you and he will help you with trailer parking as we do not have a lot of space and it can be difficult to navigate:) He is more than happy to back your trailer into a spot for you or help you get turned around if needed:) Our driveway is very steep, so be sure to have your truck in 4 Wheel Drive when you come up and keep moving.
We do not charge for stalls or pens, whichever you choose, but ask that you clean up after your horses as much as possible. If you want a stall you will need to provide your own bedding and strip it before you leave. Please do not leave pawing horses tied around; just put them back in their pens/stalls when you need a break. You will need to bring your own feed/hay and buckets for the stalls and pens. If you are coming from out of state you will need a health certificate and a current Coggins for your horse. If you live in Iowa a health certificate within 30 days of arrival is all you need. If it is muddy, please be conscientious about walking your horses through the yard, new grass etc. If possible please stay on the gravel☺
We will have a port o potty’s available for your use. There is a Microtel in Colfax, Iowa. I would suggest you bring a chair, sunscreen, bug spray, and possibly a water bottle to hang on your saddle.
*We have a limited number of spots to plug in a trailer or camper, so they will be assigned to the first people to request them. We do ask that you pay a $25 fee for the electrical use.
Lunch will be on your own each day or you may choose to bring something. I will also have water and drinks available during the clinic. We will make plans for dinner as a group each night if you want to join us (auditors included).
While we LOVE dogs (we have 4 of our own!) we ask that you leave them at home for clinics. Over the years we have come to realize they get in to plenty of trouble when their owners are busy enjoying the clinics:)
