Among Teodora’s siblings—Narcisa, Teodora, Gregorio, Manuel, and Jose—it was the youngest, Jose Alberto, who became the most historically significant to the Rizal family. Jose Alberto, the illustrious engineer of Biñan, studied in a British school in Calcutta, India. It is said that he exerted a good influence on the young Rizal, particularly inspiring him to cultivate his artistic talents.
INJUSTICE TO HERO’S MOTHER
Before June of 1872 - Doña Teodora was suddenly arrested on a malicious charge that she and her brother Jose Alberto, tried to poison the latter's perfidious wife.
Antonio Vivencio Del Rosario - Gobernadorcillio of Calamba, helped the lieutenant arrested Doña Teodora.

50 kilometers - Doña Teodora was made to walk from Calamba to the provincial prison in Santa Cruz.
Before June of 1872 - tragedy struck the Rizal family. Doña Teodora was suddenly arrested on a malicious charge that she and her brother, Jose Alberto, tried to poison the latter’s perfidious wife. Jose Alberto, a rich Biñan Ilustrado, had just returned from a business trip in Europe.
During his absence his wife abandoned their home and children. When he arrived in Biñan, he found her living with another man. Infuriated by her infidelity, he planned to divorce her.
Rafael Izquierdo - the Governador General, happened to be visiting Calamba.
Some little girls danced fir his entertainment. One of them was so pretty and did steps so charmingly that the Governor General called her to his side and said:
"What present can I give you, charming little dancer?"
"Oh, please Governor, "she answered, release my mother from prison."
"Who is the little girl's mother? Set her free! tried the Governor General."
Soledad Rizal Quintero - Born in 1870 making her the youngest of the Rizal siblings.
