Looking at and analyzing the timeline above, there is no doubt that Riverside Avenue has had its fair share of issues. All the issues began in the early 1930's when consrtuction was done to widen the road(by pouring fill over the bank), put in a sidewalk, and install lights. Between the late 1930's and early 1940's major development along Riverside Ave occured. In 1955, between August and November, three landslides occur. These landslides caused significant damage to Riverside Ave, including destroying part of the road itself. This had an impact on traffic and caused the city thousands of dollars to reconstruct the road. Several landslides occured after this in 1972, 1976, and 1981. The next monumental moment was in 2019 on Halloween night. A major rainstorm caused yet another landslide along Riverside Ave.
