GDnote is a Chrome side-panel note extension. Its main purpose is to help users save, organize, search, and sync personal data, including:
Text notes
URLs and link cards
Image cards
Reminder data
Recycle bin data
Backup data
The core purpose of GDnote is to help users manage their personal note data in their own browser and their own Google Drive.
GDnote processes data that users actively create, edit, save, or configure inside the extension, including:
Note content
URLs
Link card information
Images
Reminder dates
Message states, such as watch-later, pinned, rating, completed, locked, hidden, and description
Recycle bin data
Backup data
Local interface preferences
When the user actively saves a web page, URL, or image, GDnote reads the current page’s URL, title, favicon, public metadata, and related public image information to create a link card or image note.
GDnote does not track browsing history and does not collect web page information unless the user actively saves content into GDnote.
GDnote stores data primarily in the following locations:
The user’s local Chrome storage
The user’s own Google Drive, only when the user enables Google Drive sync
The user’s local browser IndexedDB, only for custom font files selected by the user
GDnote does not send the user’s note content to the developer’s server.
When the user enables Google Drive sync, GDnote uses Google OAuth and Google Drive API access to create, read, update, and sync GDnote-related data in the user’s own Google Drive.
GDnote uses Google Drive access only for the following purposes:
Syncing note data
Syncing recycle bin data
Syncing message images
Syncing UI background image libraries
Creating and syncing backup data
GDnote does not read, scan, or process Google Drive files that are unrelated to GDnote.
GDnote’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. GDnote uses Google user data only to provide user-facing Google Drive sync and backup features requested by the user.
The developer of GDnote does not actively read, collect, store, or manage users’ note content.
GDnote does not:
Send user data to the developer’s server
Sell user data
Use user data for advertising
Track users’ browsing behavior
Create marketing lists
Transfer user data to data brokers
Use user data for credit scoring, lending, or financial eligibility decisions
GDnote uses data only to provide the extension’s own features, such as note storage, search, reminders, sync, backup, recycle bin, link cards, and image cards.
GDnote includes a voluntary “Support me on Ko-fi” button. The button only opens an external Ko-fi page.
Payments are completed outside GDnote through Ko-fi or PayPal.
GDnote does not:
Create payment forms inside the extension
Collect credit card information
Collect PayPal account information
Store billing information
Store transaction records
Track payment status
Voluntary support does not unlock features and does not affect access to GDnote.
Users can manage or delete GDnote data by:
Deleting notes inside GDnote
Emptying or allowing recycle bin data to expire
Removing GDnote local data from Chrome
Deleting the GDnote folder and related files from their own Google Drive
Revoking GDnote’s Google Drive authorization from their Google Account
Uninstalling GDnote
If you have any questions about this privacy policy, how GDnote handles data, or need support, please contact the developer.
