Welcome to the GDDS Counseling Corner!
My name is Sara Parker and I am excited to serve as the school counselor for GDDS during the 2026–2027 school year. I bring 13 years of educational experience in the Burleson community, including my third year with Burleson ISD.
My approach is rooted in solution-focused counseling and incorporates cognitive-behavioral techniques to help students develop the skills and confidence needed to overcome challenges, achieve their goals, and thrive both academically and personally.
Burleson has been home to my family since 2009, and I am proud to have three children who have been served by Burleson ISD—two currently attend Burleson High School, and my oldest is a proud member of the Burleson Collegiate High School Class of 2024.
I look forward to partnering with our students, families, and staff to make this an engaging, successful, and rewarding school year.
