The Career Counselling Cell of Govt. Degree College for Women Pulwama organised one day seminar to aware students about NET/SET/JRF exams today on June 03, 2023. The purpose of the event was to guide and inform students about these prestigious competitive exams and the career opportunities they offer.

Objective: The objective of the Career Counselling Event was to create awareness among students about the National Eligibility Test (NET), State Eligibility Test (SET), and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) exams. The event aimed to equip students with the necessary information and guidance to pursue these exams and explore the related career opportunities.
Event Highlights:
1. Inauguration: The event began with a formal inauguration ceremony, with the welcome address of the college Principal Prof Dr Yasmeen Farooq Khan who emphasizing the importance of career guidance and expressing gratitude to the Career Counselling Cell for organizing the event.
2. Guest Speakers: Renowned academicians and experts in the field of competitive exams (Dr Peerzada Yasir from GDC Pulwama – Science Stream and Dr Khursheed Ahmad Mir from Social Science Stream) were invited as guest speakers. They delivered insightful presentations on the eligibility criteria, exam patterns, and preparation strategies for NET/SET/JRF exams. The speakers also shared their personal experiences and success stories to motivate and inspire the students. The event included motivational talk delivered by a successful NET/SET/JRF qualifier. The speaker shared personal insights, challenges faced during preparation, and tips for staying motivated during the exam journey.
3. Question and Answer Session: A dedicated question and answer session was conducted where students could ask specific questions related to their disciplines and the exams. Subject experts were present to address these queries and provide guidance tailored to individual student needs.
