The Govt. Degree College was established as a private college by the Agro-Industrial Society and was started in 1967. It was taken over by the government in the same year, with the introduction of U.G Level courses B.Com, B.A, B.Sc (M.P.C, B.Z.C), and in Telugu medium. In the Department of Commerce offering the courses in UnderGraduate Level, B.Com Computers in Telugu and English Medium and In PostGraduate Level, M.Com Course. The Majority of the Students of this College Belongs to Department of Commerce, So that's why Our Department is the Backbone of this College
