PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
I, Prof. S.P.Sarswat joined this college with an intense desire to put this premier institution on track of exploring new vistas in learning and make it a vibrant, dedicated and work culture oriented institution. A sincere effort will be made to give vent to the feelings of students, their creative thoughts, writing skills, fiery imagination and future vision. In order to achieve the desired goals, a roadmap of mission, vision and objectives of Govt. College for women , Parade has been prepared. The staff (teaching and non-teaching) and the students have pledged to work whole heartedly for achieving the said mission, vision and objectives of the college. I wish a great future to my loving students and success in their life.

About
The College has a well-established Library for the undergraduate, post graduate students and the faculty. The library has educational as well as general collection pertaining to disciplines such as Social Sciences and Humanities, Science, Technology, Literature, History and Geography, Fiction and Non-Fiction Novels, Career Counseling and books related to Competitive Exams for students, and a small collection of Braille books. Both the sections of the library (Science and Arts) have collection of reference books such as Encyclopedia, biographies, Yearbooks, Gazetteers, Directories, Atlas, Dictionaries etc. The college has a separate collection of books to extend book bank service to the needy students. It also has a collection of local as well as National Newspapers and magazines.

Automation of Library books is done in the session 2020-2021.
Browsing centre was established in 2021.
Smart cards for students and staff.
NDL Facility is available.
RFID Technology is available.
Books are scientifically arranged with technical service such as Book selection, acquisition, classification, coding for assigning location, automation using Koha.

Besides, the facility of Book Bank enables the students to borrow books on long term basis.
A space is also allocated for specially abled students and faculty in the library.

LIBRARY RULES
- Every student at the time of burrowing books from the library shall produce his/her identity card. A person borrowing books from the library shall be held responsible for any loss of pages of the book and he/she will have to pay fine in addition to double the cost of the book.
- Teaching faculty shall be permited to borrow ten books at a time for for a maximum period of one month . In case of failure to return the same within the prescribed time, they shall be required to deposit ₹ 2/-per book per day.
- Members of the college staff or the establishment at the time of leaving the college or transfer, retirement or otherwise shall return all the books borrowed by them before the LPC or "NOC" is issued in his/her favour.
- Students shall be permitted to borrow two books for maximum period of fifteen days.If a student fails to return the same within prescribed time period, overdue charges/fine @₹ 1/- per day per book shall be recovered from the students for the first 15 days and thereafter @₹2/- per day. The same person shall not be allowed to borrow any book for the second time within two days from the date of its return by him/her.
- Any person who either loses a book or otherwise damages it, shall be liable to pay an amount not less than double the cost of the book. When it belongs to set or series, and unless he can replace it, he shall be liable to pay the cost of the whole set or series.
- Students free from lecture work may visit the library during the college hours. No talking or disturbance of any kind is allowed in the library. Any infringement of rules shall incur punishment/fine.
- Books of the following description shall not be issued by the library: Reference books Periodicals/Magazines, Dictionaries of prominence, Encyclopedia/ Census Reports, Rare books identified by college library committee/Principal.
- Periodicals shall not be issued except for consultation in the library premises
- All books shall have to be returned to the library every year at the time of stock verification especially in april-may.
- The librarian shall make a report of books found damaged / missing to the principal, soon after the stock verification is over and shall prepare the list of books to be written off.
- Sleeping,smoking,chatting, eating etc are strictly prohibited in the library.
