We are all taxpayers. Everyone. 

Property owners pay property taxes. Employees and  contractors pay "payroll taxes." Most earners pay income tax. We all pay sales tax. Our taxes are the bread and butter revenue of city, county, state, and federal governments. So yes!! We should have a say in how our taxes are being spent. That includes agency policies, official actions, legislative bills, citizen referenda. 

"Having a say" translates into attendance and input at public hearings; phone calls and emails to elected officials; letters to the editor; social media repostings; and sometimes direct involvement in marches, protests, banners, and other means of drawing attention to a cause. 

GCTA's goal is to present information on current issues that affect Garfield County residents. Naturally, this is a moving target. We appreciate any and all feedback on things you've heard, concerns you have, and information you can provide.
