Practice exam sessions for Year 10 students before their end of year exams.
Students will:
✅ Sit a Maths paper under exam conditions
✅ Review the paper with a qualified teacher modelling answers
✅ Create a breakdown of their strengths and areas for improvement
✅ Receive an estimated grade
End-of-year exams in Year 10 play a key role in setting students up for Year 11.
Targeted exam practice helps students improve exam technique, boost confidence, and maximise their end-of-year results. A strong performance can lead to a more confident start to Year 11 — when it really counts.
Preparing now gives students the best possible advantage.
6th June, 1pm to 3pm, THAMESMEAD SCHOOL, SHEPPERTON
PAPER 1 (NON - CALCULATOR)
13th June, 1pm to 3pm, THAMESMEAD SCHOOL, SHEPPERTON
PAPER 2 (CALCULATOR)
1. Sign Up & Get Ready
Students register for a session and pay to secure their place.
2. Sit the Paper
On the day, students should arrive about 10 minutes early to check in and get settled. After completing the 90 minute paper, students take a 10-minute break to rest and reset before the review session.
4. Review session
Students then return to go through the paper with the teacher, who will model how to approach different question types.
5. Personal Reflection & Feedback
Using their papers, students fill in a feedback form. They record their marks, note which questions they found challenging, and think about how they can gain full marks on each question.
6. Grade Boundaries & Next Steps
Grade boundaries are shared so students can see what grade they might have achieved. We must stress that this is an estimate and that one paper gives an estimate, but completing the full three-paper set gives a more accurate idea of overall performance.
Which tier will the paper be? Currently we are only offering sessions for the higher paper.
How many papers will there be? 2

Where will the sessions be run? Thamesmead School, Shepperton.
