I have been teaching English for 15 years in a variety of roles and am currently the Head of English at a thriving West London Independent School. My previous roles have included:
Special Educational Needs (SEN) learning support assistant
English as an Additional Language (EAL) teacher
English teacher at GCSE and A level (state and independent)
GCSE and A level English examiner for a major exam board
My work in these areas has helped me refine my approach to teaching, particularly the way I prepare my students for public examinations. I believe that by having a clearly defined approach any student can achieve their potential, whether that be a grade 4 pass at GCSE or gaining a place at the university of their choice. My step-by-step approach to English tuition gives my students a clear guide to navigating their exams with confidence, removing a lot of the exam stress that can inhibit performance.
