FROM THE LIBRARIAN'S DESK           

The Library at Goa College of Music houses a rich collection of books, CD's, casettes, magazines and dailies. Music being the core subject, majority of the collection includes books on Music Education(Vocal, Tabla,  Harmonium and a few other stringed instruments). 

Dictionaries, Encyclopaedias, Books on  Literature(Kokkni, Marathi, English, Hindi), Environmental Studies, History, Religion and Research Methodology, also form an exclusive part of the collection. 

Musical recordings of several eminent artists,  in the form of  CD's and Casettes are also available for users.

Koha , a Library Management Software is being used for routine library processes & all the library books are barcoded. Steps towards automation are being progressively taken. 

Celebration of National Library Day, National Library week, informative sessions , webinars , e-quiz on various topics form the activity list of the library.
