This program provides books for children ages 0-5 at no cost to families. Children who are enrolled will receive one free book mailed to their homes each month. The books are age-appropriate and are different each month. Children will receive a free book each month until their fifth birthday.

Our goal is to build early literacy in all of Graves County. Research has shown the families who receive books from DPIL read more often with their children, have children with better attitudes toward reading, and have children prepared at a higher rate for Kindergarten. The program is an investment in our children and the future of our community!

Children, ages 0-5, who are residents of Graves County, Kentucky, are eligible to enroll in our local Dolly Parton's Imagination Library program.

Start by signing up your child, either by paper form or online.

To take part in our program, your child must be a resident of Graves County, Kentucky.

Books will arrive eight to ten weeks after being initially enrolled. All children receive the same first book in the program and will receive different books each month based on their age. Your child will continue to receive a book in the mail each month until they turn five or move out of Graves County, KY.

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library books are mailed in groups based on birth year. While each enrolled child in your household will get a new book every month, the books won't arrive on the same day for children of different ages.
