This diagram illustrates how we function as a coalition. Many community organizations participate in the Health Coalition, as represented by the outermost ring of this organizational diagram (not all organizations and community members are listed, here, this is just a representation of some of the breadth of the members).Â
The 3 subgroups were formed to take action through collective impact. The Leadership group functions as the decision-making body of the Health Coalition, providing oversight and guidance for the coalition and works in tangent with the Coordinator to maintain the Health Coalition.
Improving social health is one of our core tenets. By collaborating with local organizations, we implement and promote programs that improve equity, diversity, and social justice. From community events that celebrate cultural diversity to initiatives that connect all community workers to much-needed services, we strive to create a community where everyone can experience a better quality of life.
Behavioral health is a vital component of holistic wellbeing that must not be overlooked. The GCCHC recognizes the impact of physical and mental health on individuals, families, and the wider community. By partnering with other community organizations, mental health providers, and educational institutions, we work to decrease the stigma surrounding behavioral health, increase access to behavioral health resources, and promote mental wellness practices. Through educational campaigns, workshops, and support networks, we aspire to create an environment where mental health is openly discussed, understood, and supported by all.
The GCCHC recognizes the power of community partnerships to create lasting and meaningful change. By prioritizing the social, physical, mental, and spiritual health of our community members, we are committed to building a healthier and more vibrant community for everyone in the valley. Together, we can achieve great things and empower individuals to lead lives of holistic wellbeing. The mission of the GCCHC is to improve social, physical, mental and spiritual health for all community members. We are dedicated to making a positive and long-lasting impact on the wellbeing and health of our residents.
