Public Accounting: A business or individual who is not employed solely by one client and provides accounting services for individuals and/or corporations.
Private/Corporate Accounting: Accountants employed by a single company, offering services such as financial reporting, internal audit, budgeting, or treasury.
Accounting Recruitment Cycles
Fall:Β Early August to mid-October each year for full-time and winter internships.
Spring: December to February for summer internships and special summer programs.
Note:Β Interns are frequently sought after starting in their sophomore year. The most competitive companies often recruit 12-18 months before internship start date.
