GAME CREAM
Privacy Policy
Effective date: February 2, 2025 | Last updated: February 2, 2025
1. The short version
This is a summary. The full detail follows in the sections below.
• Device and advertising identifiers. Used for showing ads, measuring installs and fixing crashes. Shared with the ad and analytics partners listed in section 8. You can switch this off through the consent screen and your device settings.
• Approximate region derived from your IP. Used for region-appropriate ads and aggregated statistics. Shared with ad and analytics partners. This can be limited but not switched off entirely.
• In-game events. Sessions, levels, settings and purchases, used to improve and balance our products. Shared with analytics providers. You can switch this off where consent applies.
• Crash and performance reports. Used to diagnose bugs. Shared with Google (Crashlytics). This cannot be switched off, because it is required for basic operation.
• Anonymous player ID and saved progress. Used to keep your progress between sessions. Shared with Google, Apple and Firebase. Deleted on request.
• Anything you write to us by email. Used only to answer you. Shared with nobody.
We never ask for your real name, phone number, home address or card details. Our products have no chat, no public profiles and no user-uploaded content. We do not use GPS or street-level location.
2. Who we are and what this document covers
Game Cream is an independent studio run by a single developer. This policy applies to every game and non-game application we publish for Android, for iOS, and as browser (WebGL) builds, and to this website.
For anything related to privacy, write to gprotolab@gmail.com. For users in the EEA and the UK, Game Cream acts as the data controller for the processing described here.
The website itself serves static pages. It runs no analytics service and sets no tracking cookies.
3. Accounts and progress
You do not create an account to play. Our apps generate an anonymous identifier on first launch, which lets the game keep your progress and settings. That identifier is not linked to your name or email.
Where a product offers it, you may optionally connect Google Play Games (Android) or Game Center (iOS) to sync saves across devices and to appear on leaderboards and achievement lists. Those services are operated by Google and Apple under their own privacy terms. We receive only what is needed to identify your save slot, and we never receive your account password.
4. What our apps collect on their own
Technical details about the device. Model, manufacturer, operating system version, screen size, memory and battery state, language, time zone, network type, and the country or region inferred from your IP address. We do not store the full IP address ourselves.
Identifiers. The Android advertising ID, or the iOS advertising identifier where you have granted App Tracking Transparency permission, plus an app instance identifier used by our analytics. Browser builds have no advertising identifier. They store a small amount of data in your browser local storage to keep your progress.
Gameplay events. Sessions started and ended, levels reached and failed, features opened, settings changed, in-app purchase and reward events, and similar milestones.
Advertising events. Which ad unit was filled, when an ad was shown, whether it was watched or closed, and whether a reward was granted.
Stability data. Crash stack traces, error messages and performance samples.
Configuration group. Some products load settings remotely and may place your installation into a test group so we can compare two versions of a feature. This affects gameplay parameters only.
We do not request access to precise location.
5. Purchases
Some products sell in-app items, remove-ads options or subscriptions. Every payment is processed by Google Play, the Apple App Store or the browser platform own payment provider. Card numbers and billing details go to them, never to us. We receive only the fact that a purchase or refund happened, so we can unlock the content.
6. Why we are allowed to process this
• To deliver the product you asked for. Saving progress, unlocking purchases, syncing across devices. This is necessary to provide the service.
• To keep the product working. Crash reports, abuse and fraud prevention, aggregated usage statistics. This rests on our legitimate interest in a stable, secure product, balanced against your rights.
• To show advertising and measure it. In the EEA and the UK this happens only after you give consent through the consent screen. On iOS, personalised advertising additionally depends on the ATT prompt.
• To answer your emails. Because you contacted us.
7. Your choices
Consent screen (EEA and UK). On first launch you are shown a consent management screen built on the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. Nothing is sent to advertising partners before you answer it. You can reopen it at any time from the privacy option in the app settings and change or withdraw your answer.
iOS tracking prompt. You can allow or refuse tracking at the system prompt, and change it later under Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Tracking.
Android. Settings, then Google, then Ads lets you delete or reset your advertising ID and turn off ad personalisation.
Browser builds. Clearing site data for the page removes stored progress and any advertising storage set by our partners.
Turning it all off. Uninstalling the app ends all collection from that device.
Refusing personalised advertising does not remove ads. It makes them non-personalised.
8. Companies that receive data
We do not sell your data for money. To run the apps we work with the following providers, each acting under contract for the purposes described above.
• Google (AdMob, Firebase, Play services). Advertising, analytics, crash reporting, hosting, saved games. https://policies.google.com/privacy
• Apple. Platform services, Game Center, iCloud saves. https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy
• Unity (Unity Ads, Unity Analytics, ironSource LevelPlay). Advertising mediation and analytics. https://unity.com/legal/privacy-policy
• AppLovin (MAX). Advertising mediation. https://www.applovin.com/privacy
• Liftoff / Vungle. Advertising. https://liftoff.io/privacy-policy
• Mintegral. Advertising. https://www.mintegral.com/en/privacy
• Pangle (ByteDance). Advertising. https://www.pangleglobal.com/privacy
• Chartboost. Advertising. https://docs.chartboost.com/en/legal/privacy-policy
• InMobi. Advertising. https://www.inmobi.com/privacy-policy
• Digital Turbine. Advertising. https://www.digitalturbine.com/privacy-policy
• GameAnalytics. Game analytics. https://gameanalytics.com/privacy
• AppsFlyer / Adjust. Install attribution. https://www.appsflyer.com/legal/privacy-policy and https://www.adjust.com/terms/privacy-policy
Not every product includes every provider. The set depends on the app and on your consent choices. These companies decide independently how they use identifiers received through their own SDKs, and their policies explain their own opt-out routes.
We may also disclose data where the law requires it, where it is needed to defend our rights or investigate abuse, or if the studio assets are ever transferred to another owner. In that case we will announce it here beforehand.
9. Data leaving your country
Our partners operate globally, so data may be processed in the United States, Israel, Singapore, India, China and other countries whose privacy laws differ from your own. Where transfers leave the EEA or the UK, they are covered by adequacy decisions or by Standard Contractual Clauses concluded with the relevant provider.
10. How long data is kept
• Analytics events. 14 months, then deleted automatically.
• Crash reports. Up to 90 days.
• Anonymous progress data. While the installation stays active, or until you ask us to delete it.
• Email correspondence. Up to 12 months after the conversation ends.
• Tax and accounting records. For the period the law requires.
11. Your rights
Wherever you live, you may ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or restrict what we do with it, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. In the EEA and the UK you also have the right to receive your data in a portable form, and the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
If you live in California, or in another US state with comparable law, you may request access to and deletion of your data, and may opt out of the sharing of identifiers for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not sell personal information for money, but sharing advertising identifiers with the partners in section 8 may count as sharing under those laws. The consent screen and the device settings in section 7 are the way to stop it. We will not treat you worse for exercising any of these rights.
How to make a request. Email gprotolab@gmail.com. Because we hold no name or account details, the only way to find your records is the player ID shown on the About screen of the app. Include it in your message. Without it we cannot locate anything to act on. We answer within 30 days, and will tell you if we need longer. Uninstalling the app stops all further collection but does not by itself erase data already stored by our providers.
12. Age
Our products are not intended for children under 13, or under the higher age set by your country law. We do not knowingly collect data from them. The consent screen shown on first launch asks whether you are old enough for personalised advertising and adjusts accordingly.
Content ratings differ between our products. The rating shown on the store page for each app is the one that applies to it. If you believe a child data has reached us, write to us and we will delete it.
13. Security
Data in transit is encrypted. Access to our provider consoles is protected by two-factor authentication, and we keep the amount of stored data to the minimum the products need. No online service can promise perfect security, and we do not claim to. If a breach affects you and the law requires notice, you will be told.
14. Updates
When our products change, this page changes with them. The date at the top always shows the current version. Significant changes will be announced in the apps themselves before they take effect.
