GC Freshwater Fishing Advisor respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the app uses, why it is used, and how it is handled.
The app allows you to create and store fishing-related information, including:
Catch records
Fish species
Lures and baits
Catch dates and times
Fishing locations and saved fishing spots
Catch measurements
Notes
Catch photos
Fishing and weather conditions
This information is used to provide the app’s fishing log, saved spots, catch statistics, Confidence Baits, recommendations, backup, and restoration features.
With your permission, the app may use your current location to identify your fishing location, search for nearby places, display maps, and tailor fishing recommendations to local conditions.
The app may also read GPS information embedded in a photo you select. Location access is optional. You may instead search for a location, select a saved fishing spot, move a map pin, or enter a custom spot name.
You can change location permission at any time in your iPhone settings.
The app accesses only the photos you choose through Apple’s photo picker. Selected photos may be stored with catch records. When available, the app may read a selected photo’s capture date, time, and GPS metadata to help complete the catch entry.
Catch records, photos, notes, and saved fishing spots may be synchronized through Apple iCloud and CloudKit using the iCloud account signed into your device.
This information is stored in the user’s private iCloud database and is used to synchronize app information across compatible devices. Apple’s handling of iCloud information is governed by Apple’s privacy policies and terms.
The app uses Apple services, including Apple Maps and Apple Weather, to provide location searches, map previews, place information, weather conditions, and fishing recommendations. Requests to these services are subject to Apple’s applicable privacy policies.
Catch information may be stored locally on your device when an internet connection is unavailable. Eligible information synchronizes with iCloud after connectivity returns.
If you contact us by email, we receive the email address and information you voluntarily provide. This information is used only to respond to your request, investigate reported problems, or consider feedback.
Do not send passwords, Apple Account credentials, or other sensitive information.
The app does not use third-party advertising.
The app does not track users across apps or websites.
The developer does not sell personal information.
The developer does not share personal information with data brokers or advertisers. Information may be processed by Apple services when required to provide iCloud synchronization, maps, weather, photo selection, and other operating-system features.
Fishing information remains available until it is deleted by the user or removed through applicable iCloud controls.
Users can delete individual catches, delete all catches, remove catch photos, and delete saved fishing spots within the app. User-created backup files remain under the user’s control and must be deleted separately from the location where they were saved.
Emails sent to support may be retained as reasonably necessary to respond, troubleshoot, maintain support records, or comply with legal obligations.
The app is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children for advertising, profiling, or social-networking purposes. The app does not provide public posting, messaging, or social-media features.
The app relies on Apple’s device security, application sandboxing, and iCloud security features. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
This Privacy Policy may be updated as the app changes. Any updated policy will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
