My name is Nathan Babcock, and I'm a 17-year-old business owner. I live and operate my business in my hometown of Penetanguishene, and I attend school at Georgian Bay District Secondary School. I started Georgian Bay Weaves because I wanted to turn my favourite hobby into my own job. I love Fiber Arts, meeting new people and working in new places.
I started knitting when I was 11 years old during the pandemic. Knitting had always been something I was interested in, and it quickly became a passion of mine. After I began knitting, I branched off into other Fiber Arts, such as Crocheting, weaving, embroidery and more. I love arts and crafts, and that's why every single product I sell is created with some type of handicraft.
I'm also outbound for my international exchange soon! I will be living in Argentina and South America for a full 12 months, just moving before the Ontario school year begins. I also plan to to pay off the rest of my exchange with my business. All profit made from sales directly funds my time living in Argentina.
I love trying new things, meeting new people and experimenting with art. I'm always excited to make new friends along the way. Thank you for supporting my business!
